I had promised you I’d have talked about the Tokyo Olympics, hadn’t I? Well, at least that was my intention. But as you all know, there will be no Olympics. There won’t be anything. The current situation is very dramatic for most of us. But do you know what is even more dramatic ? People. And the way they think. The way they behave. You know… I always think about my mom who (during the first days of quarantine) told me “we have all sorts of comforts from the internet to the food, and they just asked us to stay at home; you must remember that your grandparents were asked to go to war”. And how can I blame her? From there, I started seeing things differently. I realized that besides being important to me to stay home, it was important to others. Yes, it was. To others. For other people. Because we can’t always think only of ourselves. Could you have one person on your conscience just because you couldn’t stay at home and so you went for a walk? I couldn’t. And then I started doing a lot of other things. Cooking (like 99.9% of italian families), painting, studying, singing, dancing, playing, fixing old photos, cleaning. And once a day I let the dog out, because it is true you do not have to use it as an excuse, but my dog needs to go out! Ahahah. Anyway, you are wondering, so what? Why are you telling us this? I’m trying to tell you that from now on I’ll start writing a little bit about everything. Whatever theme and whatever comes to mind or intrigues me. And friends, remember: eat sleep netflix and repeat (in case someone doesn’t feel like staying at home and doesn’t want to paint or cook).
