Which is the meaning of fake news? Articles written with invented, misleading or distorted information, published with the intent to misinform or spread the falsehood through traditional media or via the Internet, through social media. While search motors try to fight these sites, social media don’t. And it is precisely here that fake news is spread. A few years ago, this used to happen through television and newspapers, while today via the internet. You must be careful, then, because fake news didn’t come out through the internet, you’d been living with it since the press exists.
You’d have undoubtedly wondered how to recognize fake news. Unfortunately, there is no straightforward answer. Confirming the truthfulness of the news is certainly appropriate, but we can’t spend our days verifying the information.
There are, however, some tricks to avoid wasting time:
1) ALWAYS read the URL of the page. For example, if there is http://www.theguardain.com instead of http://www.theguardian.com, then you are probably reading a Fake News.
2) Get informed about the truthfulness of the information and don’t share the impact that it has on yourself. Remember that very well-done fake news mainly works on your emotionality.
3) Watch at the facts objectively

In most cases, the average users play a significant role in the spread of false information. Several studies have been made on this topic: functional illiteracy, for instance, is a form of ignorance that would make readers unable to fully understand what they are reading. According to other research, even very young people wouldn’t be able to distinguish true news from artfully created news. So, as you can easily guess, there is a “perceptual problem”.
